Madrasa Reform?
โ๏ธ Prior to the industrial revolution, the educational system throughout the world (including the madrasa system) remained the same. The system used to focus on two things: generality of skills & good citizenship & family.โฃ
โฃ
โ๐ฝ Only after the industrial revolution did the system started to change. The education of core skills remained but the focus on training to become a good citizen was forgotten & the education system became more centred around economic efficiency. Poverty became a defect & money became a virtue.โฃ
โฃ
๐ The Madrasa system never really changed even after the industrial revolution. Only recently people have been pushing for reforming the madrasa system for economic needs. Many donโt understand the madrasa curriculum & its history, & are gravely mistaken as to what a madrasa really is.โฃ
โฃ
๐ฎ๐ณ In India it was always accepted that hunger & hardship was part of life and natural and they would do enough to help their hunger & hardship. Today hunger & hardship has not only been remedied in some parts of the world, but in the developed parts of the world people gone over board and they live and eat more than they need.โฃ
โฃ
๐ When hunger & hardship is completely removed, you end up with obese & lazy people. We are at odds as to how fix this new problem.โฃ In pursuit of trying to resolve one problem, we didnโt/donโt even know what new problems the solution would bring about. Some madrasas are not efficient in training the student on how to think and how to process information. In modern madrasas the art of discussion & debates has died.โฃ
